Sunshine/Banff May 8-22, any1 riding then? Need ride from banff to hill

I am going skiing for 2 weeks, so just wondering if anyone is going any of those days, I need to hitch a ride to the hill as the 15 bucks a day they want for the stupid shuttle is bullshit.
Anyone gonna be skiing between those days, even if you dont want to drive me...lol maybe we can get a sesh going in the park, I'm afraid I'm not terribly good so I need someone to teach me tricks and show me up... I have this digi that takes decent video so we can do some followcams and shit and take turns being video bitch...
Also anywhere good to stay in town, I was gonna stay at Samesun hostel, anyone have any experience with this place?
Thanks and hope to see some ns out there,
Peyce,
Matt
PS is pond skimming hard, i wanna try going into the slushcup, try a switch pond traverse if that is even possible?

If you stay at a hotel or hostel they usually have free shuttle service to the hill. Look it up. If not, I thought it only cost $3/pop, not $15.
I'll be hitting the hills on FRI/SAT/SUN from now to close...but that'll include Shine and Louise.
As for pond skimming, it's ridiculously easy. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. HOWEVER, and this is a big one, check out the vid from last years slush cup on the skibanff.com website. They have like a good 3-5 ft drop from the point of take off to the surface of the water. Absorbing that without doing the splitz, falling to the side, or falling fwd/back will be a challenge. Doing it switch...that'd be epic. I'm buyin' beers for any dude I see do that switch.

ok kool, let me know when you're gonna be at sunshine, like on which days, just post back in this thread once you know for sure what day to go where. Well I guess that depends on conditions, but isn't Sunshine open way longer? When does Louise close anyway?
Cheers,
Matt
PS I'd try it switch and have a crash and yard sale... does it hurt to fall in that? Also is it hard to get a spot in that, like are there tons of people that try to get the spots during the morning registration, or is it more something you want to watch instead of do...?

i should be there for a few of those days atleast id be down for riding. Im sick of hitching so i take the shuttle, but if you dont want to pay it normally it only takes 20mins to get picked up from the road by the train tracks.
as for the samesun, its your typical hostal full of aussies lots of parties normally.

yeah I may just take the shuttle if I have to, although the bastards charge way to much, There should be a free shuttle from Banff and Canmore seeing how we bring them the big bucks.
Yeah so I dunno... I wear red HH jacket and brown pants, I will be up there every day 8-21, I wanna go in for the pond skimming!!!
But yeah if you check my profile u and look at sunshine edit, you will see no love... mostly cuz I called it steezy which it really isn't! lol... anyways you will see that I am a rookie biatch, not total rookie, I am a good skier, just need a lot of work on the tricks, right now I can do 3s, 180s, learning switch, learned boxes and that low rail at sunshine this year. I hope the snow is nice and soft, skiing for 13 days seems like accidents will happen and I always fall on my hips the first few days and severe bruising and more falling just make it worse!
So yeah I am down for videoing some peeps throwing down, hopefully can get some of my own footage too...lol, and I would be more than happy if ppl would show me how to do rails and more tricks! Not many good ppl here on the Prairies!
Cheers,
Matt

I saw you there a few times.
Wasnt sure if it was the person from this thread, considered saying hi but the thought of looking like an idiot stopped me.
All times are Eastern (-5)
