Problem...help please

is there any way to convert .VOB files into .WMV because i had to rip a dvd onto my comp for my moms work and it ripped as a .VOB file but i need to compress it and it has to be a .WMV im pretty sure, so if anyone knows anyways to help your help would be highly appreciated

there are a number of free vob to wmv converters you can download online (just search .vob to .wmv). But in my experience you tend to lose a LOT of quality and they take a long time to convert.
