hey ive never done pond skimming, but any pointers?? i will probalby be snowboarding because i can wakeboard, but i might ski instead. anyone have tips or tricks for either one?
hha yea u def dont wanna lean back, your moving forward in WATER!! so yout back of your skis tend to sink since the water tension break so you wanna have more forward pressure then you think. i duno my physics teacher explained water sking that way to us so its basicly the same. LEAN FORWARDS!
ok, listen up, all my vast experiences pond skimming i have come up with two ways to be sure to complete the task at hand.
1~Switch is easier that regular, don't ask why, it just is, thats why you see not as many people go regular cause they want to do it harder.
2~Pop as high as you can into the water and then stomp the shit outta it coming down. This will allow you to both get splash/style points but you will also become airborn again which will skip you across like a rock.
totally lean forward.
and dont wear specific clothes. your normal setup will make it look more steezy. and with the tips above, you will 100% make it, so dont worry.
i did it this year with my twin brother dressed as simese twins. We had an extra large shirt with two heads cut out. It was sketchy especially when we sat back to get more speed.
