ive never been much a fan of tsubis...theyre kinda overpriced for the quality and the fits are so so. thats why they show up on ebay for way under retail pretty often. i thought it was funny how they got sued for the name, and that it took so long for tsubo to realize that they existed.
nudies are pretty good, but i cant say i love the back pockets. its a little much in my opinion. my slim jims fit real well though, even though they ripped in the crotch.
i love dior's 19cm fit. nice taper to them, a good midweight denim, and the fit is unreal. apc makes some awesome denim for the price as well.
im interested in trying some imperials or some japanese selvage brand, skull perhaps. the denim quality is unreal, and the fading on those comes out really awesome looking, if youre willing to put the effort in.
anything under $300 is ballpark for me. hate all you want, but i figure if i can wear one pair of jeans for everything for 7 months straight without washing em and still have them in one piece, its worth it. plus they just look so damn good.
it's so hard to find a pair that fit well
but in general I get good jeans at like Value Village for $10
my favourite jeans ever are from an actual like fashion store and they cost $90.. best pair in the world, so worth it haha. sometimes I get hand-me-downs from my sister, she has good taste in fashion so I'm always happy to take her unwanted clothes. :P
Earnest Sewn is sick. Their store in NYC is super cool. A bunch of my friends wear them but I cant justify nearly 200 dollars for a pair of casual pants.
i have a pair of the nudie dry denims that you take 6months to break them in and then you can start to wash them... most amazing jeans ever sooo freeking comfy. and im also a realy realy big fan of rock n republics, i have 3 pairs, they fit so well. and i have a couple ae jeans to mess around in, only 40$ who cares if they get dirty or rip... right?
I reckon jeans just come down to how they fit. I'm tall and lanky, so the Tsubi's fit like a dream. Haha and I agree with the seven month hypothesis, jeans are meant to last. A pair of mooks jeans I've had for a year still look damn sexy.
