[/URL]Tyler is from Bend, Oregon and was recently down at Northstar, California for nationals. On April 1, 2007 just a day before his first competition, he fell hard while just riding. It is said that he was dehydrated and fainted, however no one is sure of that. He landed on his head and broke a vertebra in his neck. He was then airlifted to a Reno hospital to undergo surgery to try to repair it. Doctors did all that they could. He wasnt even breathing after the fall at northstar. The doctors shocked him back to life, and had to put him on a respitory system.
Currently Tyler is staying in a hospital in Reno, Nevada, over 400 miles from home. Tyler is trying to recover. He still cant even breathe on his own. They are trying to get him to talk again. Ever so slowly he is beggining to mumble and slur words.
The saddest part is that Tyler still has no idea whats going on. He ever so often asks if he can get up and walk around to stretch his legs. His parents have to tell him that he is just to hurt to.
As of right now doctors say that he has a 5% chance of recovering fully.
He is a friend of many Dropowt Snow riders.
