anyone here know the rule on cars at uvm? Im gonna be a freshman there next yeat and was wondering if they allow out of state freshmen to have cars on campus?
they're nazis about cars there - if you live on central and don't have a permit, don't even bother parking there during the day. after 3pm every night and weekends are chill for most lots, but the chitty-buckham-wills lot is off limits if you don't have permit - they WILL watch for you to park and then ticket you.
i left my car at st. mikes two weeks ago and last week at the sheraton. its there now until tomorrow when i leave. you can pull it off, its just really difficult.
i dont know if you can still do this, but there used to be a little parking area across from the champlain farms near the sheraton parking lot that was pretty much just a grass clearing. still, by the end of freshman year there had to be 12 or 14 cars crammed into this shitty little patch of dirt and nobody said anything. other than that, you can get away with parking behind the sheraton near 89 or if you know anybody in a frat you can park there. those are all the good spots i know of.
