you probably shouldn't use brand new skis on the water ramps but it's not gonna he horrible for them. use a pair of older skis and you won't have to worry about it

Water ramps kill skis. First all the edges blow out on the tip and tail, then they start delaminating, and finally they snap. Just pick up an old pair of rental skis for $10, you'll be glad you did. If you want to go switch see if you can find some oldschool twintips for cheap.

if you dont load on the wax your bases get torn to shreds and they snap all the time.

Use an older pair you've already torn out the edges on rails for snow, that you don't plan on using again on snow,
Chances are you will snap them eventually depending on how many jumps you do in a day, and which kicker your hitting,
You have to wax the bottoms so you don't get kneedy burn, which will slow you down going off the ramps, also you won't want to use the bindings again after they've been in and out of the pool a couple hundred times, the spings will be shot.
I used to have to reninforce skis with a fiberglass topsheet,
use old skis you don't plan on using again on snow...

check goodwill for skis and boots. and i'd say invest in some old model new bindings with a high din.

dude your skis will get killed from the ramps...
either the material going down to the ramp, the water, rust, mold... bascially plan on the skis that you use will be your ramp skis and thast about it... they are done on the snow after that

you can boil to tips of some older skis and turn them up to create twins.
oh and it helps if you land in H30 instead, it's easier on the skis
