close to death?

one of my best friend's fell 50 ft onto solid rock while bouldering over a week ago. He has cuts and bruises, btu that was it. it freaks me out to think he really should have died. anyone else ever had a near death experience?

'Yeah, I'll get that cleaned up lickity-split. Speaking of lickity-split what do you say you and I meet up later, see what's going on? Just kidding. But seriously, I'm new in town, kinda lonely, looking for my parents..

Yeah, I've landed straight on my head from a 20+ foot drop skiing (no helmet. And the ground was solid ice)

I was medaflighted, no damage that I know of.
Ski patrol thought I was either dead or paralyzed.
I was unconscious for about 4 minutes, my blood pressure dropped dramatically and it didn't look good for me.

I've almost drowned. A friend and I was innertubing, we got to a part of the river that was class 5. We went to get out, I tripped and fell into the river. Got pummeled off cliffs and was trapped underwater about 15 feet. My foot was stuck in between a rock, the force of the water held me down. I thought for sure I was going to die. Nothing I did changed anything. But then after about a minute my foot came undone. Then I got thrown down some more rocks. Hit my head on every rock on the way down. but was ok.

I was driving over a crazy mountain pass. I was going pretty fast around 60 mph. I came to a hairpin turn, the sign suggested going 10 mph. There was no guard rail on the side of the road, if you fell off you would be thrown off a cliff.

I went to tap my brakes, nothing happened. I started to panic. My car rolled faster and faster torwards the turn and I could not stop it.
I pumped the brakes, nothing happened.
I freaked out. This was an extremely tight turn with a huge cliff off the road.

I had no choice. I pulled the ebrake. Nothing happened.
Holy shit! I was going to die. There wasn't a damn thing I could do about it. I closed my eyes, accepted death and prepared to be tossed off the cliff.
I kept my eyes shut, I must've been going over 70 mph now.
I was helpless.

A few seconds passed, I opened my eyes.
Somehow, I can not explain it, I had made it past the turn and I was still driving in the car.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

I got stung by a wasp two days ago and apparently I'm allergic... my whole ankle is swelled up to the size of a football and I think its spreading and soon my leg will be really really fat... if I die from this reaction, it was nice knowing you all. haha.
