...yes, i've already looked on the search bar, and none of the threads seemed to help. I'm getting atomc twins for next year, (164) and i was wondering where i should mount my bindings. im in the park most of the time, but sometimes i venture out onto blacks and double diamonds. help?

I dont want to mount them standard, i demoed some skis at PC this year, they were pretty close to true center, but not quite there, i liked them a lot though.

well, if you're just gonna do park then mount them center. personally, i'am not just a park person and would mount them off center. it's just personal preference. if you like them off center then mount them there.

If your going to do 95+ park and prefer switch performance over carving then go true center
If your going to do 85-95+ park id suggest -2cm back from center. Just enough that they feel center, you maintain switch performance and it helps initiate turns in my opinion.
If your going to be 75-85 park id go halfway between standard and center or like +2cm from standard.
If your going to be 50-75 park i would go standard
Those are just suggestions and rough percents. I prefer -2, so I'm biased in that sense. Also, is this going to be your only ski? If you have a pair of all mt skis already center or -2 these and use them as a park ski.

if your skiing park most of your time you might as well go somewhere close to center

ha, same here
though i don't regret skiboarding, it is fun, just not practical...and you look like an idiot
i picked up twin-tips this year also
go for what you feel comfortable with, if you like what you demoed (spelling?) then go with that
and since you're just beginning, you can mount your next skis more forward or back

yeah i agree, skiboards are fun and all, they just get to be impractical when you want to move up to bigger jumps and stuff. i tried one of my friends long skis this year, and wondered why i ever switched to skiboards. and you look like such an idiot on the big stuff, big skis are so much faster and more stable.

Center. Unless they're powder skis. Even then, close to center.

depends how much you like going switch. get them dead- centermounted if you want to go switch alot. if not get them more rear mounted. i have mine dead center mounted and i have no trouble in pow and steeps.
