Rage Films is at the pass filming until Tuesday. We built the big box as a down flat down down and the tires on a nasty podium, a gap to up rail to gap, a hug 75 foot scoop deck on Jrs( took 12 hours to push) and junks is not finished, but look at it this way its as tall as the chair lift.
Those jumps are huge, honestly. That last one looks sooooo sick, I would love to have a chance to loft that. Mike Wilson was going nuts today, fucking throwing misties off rollers and all. Is the larger jump going to be for filming tomorrow?
i just hope that with a park pass next season, stuff like that could be built early on (snow permitting), and for actual patrons. Those features do demonstrate the higher potential for stevens' park (they are very, very nice indeed) so it would be a shame that another season went without it realized. Those arent really huge, albeit quite big (and especially for this area), regardless, how grand would it be if those were common next season????? mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Yeah, dude, I saw you half a dozen times today from the chair, but never ran into you in the park for some reason. Are you no-poles 4 life, or just because of your knee?
with it we can do it. I would love to let you all hit it but its not my call. there are other players involved. in theory since those features were built by the Rage crew with our help they sort of own them. Plus you guys need to respect a film shoot. you wouldn't go in to closed movie shoot in hollywood because you can act right? Hope to see you all next year and its going to be a good one.

whistlers Xl park has two big jumps 70 and 75. I was there the last week of March getting a tour of the parks with Stu O. and this one is 70. the other is 65 with a ton of pop. We were able to get the landing done somewhat and cut the gap there going to hit it tonight at 10.
70 ft or not, congradufuckinglations on building a decent sized jump for a photoshoot, that only a few people cold hit and you still could have done it earlyer. Anyone could hit a full line of 4 jumps all in the excess of 65 ft and you can easily take the biggest one well over 90ft. and they have a 65ft channel gap.but that's in the smaller jump line.
and then there is a massive step up.
Blackcomb has a much larger budget for their parks, and more people that need features like that. Yes, I would love to have huge shit all year, but in reality, less that 1% of the skiers in WA are capable of landing anything over one of those.
