Al Sharpton would have had good intentions in the 60's, but let's face it, racism is almost non-existant about blacks anymore.
Let's turn tables a bit. What about racism ACTUALLY prevelant in today's society. How many cab drivers are going to stop for a man with a turban and a suitcase? I'm pretty sure every cab driver in NYC would stop for a black man in a suit over a man in a turban with a suitcase.
The world takes things far too literally and it's sad. Al Sharpton makes a living off of stupid little incidents that get blown out of proportion with his radicalism. He's a fucking obnoxious man that beleives he is the next Malcom X and savior of the black race. Fuck him and what he stands for. Malcom X saw real racism. Al Sharpton is just creating a problem with the races of black and white. How can the two races ever be equal if every fucking crime done between the two races is automatically assumed to be because of the other person's skin color. It's such a fucking ass backwards concept. If we are all created equal and we want to see ourselves as equal, then we can't have racism be such a heavily misunderstood concept.
Why is it that when two black men mug a white guy that it isn't racist behavior? Why when a black man rapes a white girl it isn't racist aggrivated rape? You know damn well if a white male or two white males were to rape a black girl it would have racism as the first motivation for the rape.

Racism definitely still exists, especially if you head South (first convenience store you see crossing over from VA to NC is called Dixieland. It has a huge Confederate flag hung in front, and the workers are all black with a fat white manager... yeah...) but Al Sharpton is completely blowing it out of proportion. As you said, not everything is race-related, and that's what this tool would have all of us believe if he could.
That being said, to the kid who posts in all caps, you're perhaps just as dumb. The key to making people listen is by making intelligent arguments, not capitalizing everything and throwing out racial slurs. That just makes you look like an idiot and actually makes your argument and anyone who supports it look idiotic. More importantly, you're a white kid who probably lives in some suburban neighborhood. First of all...people that accept the ideology of liberalism ARE a party. A party doesn't necessarily mean Republican, Democrat, etc. It is a group of people that share a similar belief too. So yes, you ARE talking about a party when you say liberal.
Sure you can call him a liberal, but you don't have to use it in every post. He is an extreme version of the modern libertarian. There is no need to drag a title into his name that he doesn't do a good job of representing.
