I just got premier thanks to the miracles of the internet... I only had one dvd of footage for it like the description says, still waitin on my firewire card to come from ebay. But anyway, I feel like i'm barely scratching the surface at all with what it can do so if anyone has any tips on cool stuff that you can do with it advice would be appreciated.

honestly most of the cool shit is done with 'adobe after effects' which is sort of a partner program you use once you have the video footage looking the way you want, then the effects are added in with after effects

ya. you can only do so much with premiere as far as effects and what not go. Although its an amazing program and once you get the hang of it, super easy to use as well. After Effects on the other hand is soooo confusing to use, and a bit more taxing on your computer as far as requirements go. But ya, thats where you do all the neat stuff.
