On Sunday April first Jared and some friends built a jump at their condominium complex in Winter Park, CO. The jump was over a bar at a play ground and Jared who is an extremely competent skiier fell and broke his neck. He has feeling and motion above his waist, his condition is stable and I am sure that the relentless stubborness of Jared Talaga will no doubt help the recovery process. He was remained conscious and coherent and was flown by helicopter to St. Anthony's hospital in Denver. This hospitals is very highly acclaimed, especially in spinal injury and nerve damage. I am not family so I cannot speak with doctors, but I have spoken with Jared twice and he seems to be doing remarkably well. He has a positive outlook and is finding some comfort in family and friends. I will turn this care page over to his family when the time comes and they will be able to give much more information. Jared's surgery yesterday went well and he likes the hospital staff. The full extent and permenance of the injury is unknown, but Jared healing is a very viable option and the one that I would encourage you to keep in your minds prayers.
