does anyone know why bears closed?
i was there today and it was an awesome pow day (especially considering it was april 9th!) but still i really wanted to hit killy's pretty well hyped park, so i was just wondering does anyone know why they closed bear and if it will open again?

it has nothing to do with snow and all to do with money. basically it costs more money to run bear than the business that they're getting this time of the year. traditionally bear closes right after spring loaded, no matter what the conditions are like

because it cost money to run another base lodge and the 2 lifts at bear
and killington is CHEAP!!!

good news though. Bear's gunna be open next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Heard it direct from the park crew, then some ski patrollers. Yay Killington. Hoping they keep it open even longer seeing as we're supposed to get yet another storm Wednesday night through Thursday.
