Replying to DJ equiptment

So this past weekend i went over to a buddies house and we ended up staying in his basement blazing and spinning records all weekend long and now i'm hooked. This leads to my question if there are any of u guys who spin/spun? that know what the best kind of tables to get is ( i'm talking vinyl here none of that cdj bullshit)

If there are certain types of tables for a certain sound i would also like to know these differences since i have pretty much slim to none knowledge in this
also would like to know how much cheddar i'd have to drop on a deecent set of tables and mixer
