What is the difference between the s914 and the s914 Labs?

Cause i'm considering this for my next pair of sticks and have heard to go with the Labs or not at all.

914 labs are heavier, i am pretty sure they have an all metal heel. some more metal in the toe, and a older afd

regular 914's are fine. alot of the problems were from the spherical afd that salomon replaced this year.

i've been using regular 914's for the last 3 or 4 pairs of park skis and they do great. you have to adjust toe height periodically, but that's about it. i'm a pretty big guy and i ride really hard and i've never broken a pair.

yea, they replaced it with a slider. i have to say, salomon has one of the nicer sliders that i've seen

914's are all plastic, and labs have a metal 916ish heel, and plastic toe
