THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A SNOW ADVISORY...
WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM WEDNESDAY TO 5 AM PDT THURSDAY. THE
WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
SNOW WILL SPREAD OVER THE CENTRAL SIERRA WEDNESDAY MORNING WITH
SNOW LEVELS AROUND 6000 FEET. SNOW LEVELS WILL DROP WEDNESDAY
EVENING WITH MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL WEDNESDAY NIGHT. BY
THURSDAY MORNING...SNOWFALL OF 8 TO 15 INCHES IS EXPECTED IN THE
SIERRA ABOVE 7000 FEET...WITH 2 TO 5 INCHES AT LAKE LEVEL.
DIFFICULT WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR ACROSS THE SIERRA
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER THE PASSES...WHERE
LOCALLY HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL COMBINE WITH BLOWING SNOW TO REDUCE
VISIBILITIES.
