Today I was emailed this extremely uplifting video of Team Hoyt. I have no idea if this has been posted here yet so bear with me if it has. Team Hoyt is made up of Dick and Rick Hoyt, a father and son. When Rick was born he had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck causing him to get cerebal palsy (sp?). The doctors told his parents to put him in an institution and that he would be nothing more than a vegetable his whole life. His parents would have nothing to do with that, they wanted him to grow up as normal as possible. They brought him swimming and pushed him around in a wheelchair to play street hockey. When they took Rick along on all of these activities is the only time he would smile as big as he does. His father began training so he could take his son along. Right now Dick is 66 and Rick is 44. They have run countless marathons and triathlons, including 25 Boston Marathons and 15 Ironman Triathlons. This whole time Dick pulls, pushes and carries Rick. Please watch this movie to see how wonderful this man is. It brought a tear to my eye.
