Which should I pick?

I have to read one of these three books for school and I get to pick which one. They are: In Cold Blood, Slaughterhouse Five, and The Things They Carry. Any suggestions as to which one I should pick?

I'd go with the The Things They Carried.  You can try Vonnegut but he's one of those authors your either love or hate.
