Yep, it's not Candide on the sequence, he crashed the same way, but much more harder. The latest news say that Candide's hip isn't broken but is vertebrae is fucked up (I don't know if it's broken or not)
And someone asked if someone had cleared the Big Bertha this year, the answer is no.
my god I feel obliged to point out the obvious here. Booters ball last year didn't go so well considering someone nearly killed himself.
I could tell from the first time I saw a picture of this jump that it was a bad idea. Good luck Candide, you're the man, get well soon. Props for trying it but I can't see why you'd wanna hit that jump anyways
yea, I agree completely.Â
I think the fact that they felt the need to rake soft snow onto the knuckle is an indicator that it probably a dangerous jump
yeah he broke is lower back a vertebrae to be precious but he still has control of his legs and no "large Damage" he should be off the slopes for a while tough...
And andrewT, STFU, its called having BALLS. If you are someone who keeps pushing the limits, you are going to get hurt sooner or later. Quit acting like you are some sort of rocket scientist when it comes to hitting jumps
i think that jump was a good idea, its just people didnt get enough speed, guys do way bigger cliff drops and stuff its called progression. but wow imust say what that pic show is like jumping off a building to pavement hope he is ok
I understand how pros want to go bigger and set a bar higher but some of this shit is just getting plain dumb. A jump that big isn't worth a picture on NS and 2 shots in a movie.
are you an idiot? i think jumps are bad idea when candide breaks his back and nobody has yet to clear the jump. i agree the jump looks cool... but it's just stupid to hit jumps with that kind of risk involved. I mean... candide is one of the best skiers in the world, if he comes up short and does that kind of damage to himself it's stupid.
It really says something about where skiing is going when someone of Candide's caliber breaks his back and might be permenantly injured. Jumps are getting too big.
wanna c a vid from the back of the jump yo...and personnely didnt look like he was going very fast he could have deff made it if he sat back on his skis instead of normal tucking
First of all who is anybody to say a jump is to big... Are you going to tell somebody the plane is to high to go skydiving I don't think so. People make choices and people have to live with the consequences of those choices. I give him props for sacking up and trying to progress the sport!
