haha, no it wont.
Ever since Second Generation Berman's been making the sickest movies in the industry, hands down.

personally i think SH6 was pretty sick, although some people disagree. As to LSS, such a dope ass movie, I don't think anyone could dislike it if they ski.

"Rumor also has it that a PBP and Rage crew convened the next day and hit the same jump, beat up landing and all..."
so what if they did? Berman has shot things that PBP, and MSP have done long before him. He has stolen songs, And hit alot of the same rails already hit in years prior by PBP. As far as i'm concerned you should let the footage speak instead of caring whether someone else hit your jump. It always seems that Level 1 even last season takes pride in saying people copy their jump spots and stuff, but who year after year has better movies than Level 1? Dont get me wrong i loved High 5 and Forward, but over the years of all the features Berman has stolen, he really shouldnt have so much pride in himself.

There is definately a split between old and new level 1 shit, right between forward and high five

i think its time for a change up in their style. lss was sick but if berman keeps doing that type of movie its gonna get old. it was kinda a super shanghi 6. hi 5 was sick though he should go back to that

yea they are getting into the powder skiing shit which in my opinion sucks to watch. i'm sure skiing trees in japan is a blast but watching it sucks for me. unless your doing ill shit like in community project in that much snow i don't want to see it. bc booters are fine but please lay off that shit it sucks to watch.

exactly level 1 has creative minds and outlets, but there films have little/no flow right now, i'd watch a segment in LSS, and then they'd have there painfully excruciating intros to the athletes, w/ the 5 different angles, 12 different digital zooms, and then you'd have to watch it between every segment. You go from being excited to feeling like its time to take a nap. For some reason his movies really after high 5 have just lost there entertainment value.
Level 1 seems to have alot of pride, and speaks really highly of themselves, which is cool, but at this point with there name, instead of talking themselves up, and what not, they should let their name/films do the speaking like bigger film companies do. You dont see PBP ever claiming, nor do you from TGR, Rage or MSP. They just give off this childish vibe, and always think so highly of themselves. yes they're talented, but your one of the top ski film companies out there, its time to let your work, and reputation speak for itself and lose the ego.

I think you're way out of line here...painfully excruciating? Are you talking about the machine? If watching 10 sequential seconds of footage without a skier in the shot is excruciatingly painful for you, I might reccomend you to get checked for ADD. I hope you also hate on this years stuff from Plehouse, PBP, Rage, etc because they also returned to a unifying theme between *gasp* every segment.
Also, it seems like you based your entire second paragraph on that one line at the bottom of their update...I'm pretty sure L1P is one of the most down to earth film crews, and they generally do let their films speak for themselves. If you could give some examples of this apparently overinflated ego, though...
Also, its one thing to film in a location or on a rail that someone has used before, its another to go out and shoot on a jump that someone else built and shot on just the day before.

i wasnt praticularily fond of anyones films this year, i'm just saying it seems like there is alot of ego coming from them and what not. LSS had good shots, that were incredible, but those transitions made the film almost impossible to watch. I know they're some chill guys, but you cant deny there is an ego coming from Level 1 at points in time. Even talking to Berman at a premiere of another film a few years ago, he sat there and said how much better his film would be, before the other film had even started.

powder only looks good with the film-look.
having it in a Level 1 movie is like driving a Ferrari through the sand dunes.

i've watched all the major movies of this year
and lss is by far my favourite. It's the only movie with artisitic style, and all around sick skiing. Its the only major movie that i seen that didnt have big mountain. Big mountain is like golf to me, i hate watching golf more than anything but its probably one of my favourite thinggs to do

i wonder how many realtime shots are going to be in the movie.
that's one thing skateboarding has over skiing/snowboarding. it doesn't cost them as much to get footage or take nearly as long to get a shot, and therefor they can have a 40min video of all realtime shots, unlike the skiing/snowboarding video industry where you got all slowed down shots and like one maybe two real time shots in the whole movie (not to mention those random super slow mo shots - so painfull).

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Level 1 doesn't use any slow-mo...

Level 1 make dope movies they change shit up and they always have the best rails ( id dont like rails but love to watch level 1 movies) and they have all the underground rippers ;like Stefan Thomas ect.
They dont do the same shit over and over again like Msp and berman seems like a preety chill dude...e

i agree that in lss the skiing was sick but the athlete intros took away the vibe.
seems like in pbp movies theres alot more variation of jumps and jibs whereas in l1p alotta the same jumps and tricks w/ diff styles

i like how in l1p there isnt a lot of super slo mo stuff because that gets annoying pretty fast. i def liked high5 but i didnt think that lss or shanghai 6 were all that bad. i think lss was a little better than s6 though

When slow-mos get way to slow they are boring, but to slow down a big air to see everything in detail = priceless for sure.

I think you'd be surprised how much footage that you seem to think Berman bit off others that he actually filmed in person and then sold to them.

that may be true but berman has had tons of shots that obviously werent his session... a few years ago he had crichton on that red wall with PBP written in huge letters across it
