because doing that will not fit mostly, unless you get really small subs, to fit in big car fittings. Some cars have pre-made sub holes, for one 10" sub of something from the factory, but if you're trying to fit a 12" sub into a regular 6.5" speaker fitting...good luck to ya, lol. Just buy a box, and some subs, and an amp...
i have dual 12's in my car... and there in a sealed box. they sound a whole lot nicer that not enclosed subs... the sound is just cleaner and rattles less
