i've taken a class at LTCC. it was pretty chill. there is a good mix of older people and skier/boarder kids. i don't think there are dorms ? but i could be wrong.
i would go to sierra nevada college if you can afford it. it seems like there is more of a college atmosphere.
there is always UNR if you don't mind driving 45 min to ski and if you can get in. i love it here and wouldn't change it for anything. more challenging curriculum and better education
jex your totally right, but im doing the JC thing and it's going good. Super chill and i have more freeeeeetime to ski. That is when im not hurt.
If you have a car it's well worth living in reno, carson, or g-ville. nevermind fuck carson. but its way cheaper to live, cheaper gas, and there are more JC's in the valley's.
I have to go to a California JC to go on the guaranteed transfer to a UC. Believe me, I would love to go to UNR but my parents refuse to pay saying I'm putting skiing before academics. We'll see, I still may end up going to UNR.
I go to school at UC Davis and it's definitely not optimal. But, you can make it work. I'm carrying a full load and still able to ski four days a week. There's about 5 of us here that ride a lot, so if you do end up here eventually you'll have some carpool buddies.
ah k... is it a decent uni to go to? im looking at doing an exchange to there for the spring semester next year (im from australia) so then i could do a season at alpine or n* and then go study. itd be pretty perfect if it all worked out... and davis sounded pretty cool but i dont know much about the place
spring is a good season to be in davis for sure. i don't know what you want to study and all, but you should message TheWallaby on here, she's Australian too and goes to school at Davis.
More then 5, there are lots of us that ride all the time from Davis. I go up every weekend and carry a full workload-you're bound to find friends here to ride with.
Yeah, Sac State is the same way.. It tempts me to transfer in there every time I think about how much closer Sacramento is to the snow than where I live...
