So Sunday, my great day was cut short by my brake... braking. I was fucking pissed, a small piece of the plastic cover just popped off, which then proceeded to ruin the entire thing. I'm fed up with brakes. I'm pissed at how a new wide brake will cost $40, while most shops will fit you regulars for free. Fat skis are commonly used out there, and wide brakes shouldnt be 'specialty items', and def shouldn't cost that much.
I'm also really just frustrated with all of the binding companies. I've heard endless stories of people who run through set upon set of brakes each season, and also heard horror stories of a failed brake ripping out a heelpiece, destroying the ski, and even worse, causing season-ending injuries. Landing and riding switch is large part of what we do, and what twin tips were designed to do. Its about time a company stepped it up and made a brake system that works accordingly. So this is a shoutout and a call to action - if you've ever had your brake end your day (or worse), post here.

ya i threw a pretty big cork 9 over like a 45 ft table and landed 20 feet down the landing causing my binding to totally explode off my ski and land 10 feet down the hill beyond me

I've also at least BENT every brake I've ever rode.
I've also busted 3 brakes clean off before (too many bend-backs) and also snapped a plastic part on my solly 914Ti's when I tried to bend them back.
I weight about 185lbs. The heavier you get and the stiffer ski you use, the worse the problem gets. It sucks LARGE!
I get pretty tired of ejecting and ragg-dolling backwards when your landing is not all that bad.

I just broke my third pair of brakes this season. Rossis are clearly not made for skiing switch. And three other people in my crew broke their brakes on Sunday.
