i went like 2 years ago and im doing it again this year after all the mtns close
all you really need is a bag to put your skis on so you can carry them on your back and a lot of water, i hiked up to the base with sneakers and i was fine

listening to peeps that went this past weekend, their was snow all the way down to pinkham notch, but the trail was all ice. The bowl wasent too great either

Thanks everyone deffinitly siked to go. Im missing part of my edge under foot on my Dumonts who thinks i should rent something, I feel like they ski fine but ripping out the entire edge on a rock up there would not be cool..
im not worried about messin them up im woried about ripping the edge out or catching an edge because im missing like an inch or so but the edge isnt like sticking out its pretty flush
