The songs are encoded at twice the bitrate too. So we'll get to pay 30 cents more to have songs take up twice as much room on our computers and iPods. Hooray.

it may take up twice as much room, but if you actually care about sound quality, then 30 cents for basically twice the sound is definitely worth it. MP3 removes almost all of a songs data, compressing a 30 MB song into around 2, but i guess with shitty itunes headphones sound quality won't make a difference for most people anyways.

I don't care about the quality because I really can hardly tell the difference, even with decent headphones.
