I heard through the grape vine that Peak and mount snow is going to re-purchase Haystack mountain (5 min down the road) and its going to be for the most part a terrain park mountain! Thats so cool that they are going to give us that mountain. Should be finished by 09 season... can't wait.
i heard that they are reopening haystack as a private mountain. like a golf course where you have to have a membership. at haystack you will only be allowed on the mountain if you own one of the new condos that they are going to be putting trailside.
^ i heard that too. However, if haystack were to turn into a 'terrain park' mountain, would they get rid of the park(s) at snow, or downgrade them at all, because if so, i think that's a terrible idea. you shouldn't have to go to a separate mountain to get to a legit park
That would be alright but kinda suck at the same time , Mt snow has some sick terain, and i love it on a pow day, but i woudlent want to choose if i wanted to hit park or sweet terain. On a side note did any one hike haystack for some freshies this seaon when snow was skied out? I wanted to but i never ended up doing it, would of been sick.
The condo private mountain company thing completely fell through do to the people going bankrupt or something. And I think it'd be sick if mount snow owned both and Haystack was a park. Haystacks terrain is better and it would be so much less crowded so if you wanted to ski groomers or glades you still probably could.
if u have ever skied at whaleback then you would know that it is not just a terrain park mountain and in fact has some really good skiing. it has 2 park but the rest of the mountain has some really good skiing
yeah back in the day I always used to ride Haystack. Its a sick mountain and its never crowded. Although making it all park might ruin that. I have probly skied there a 150 days.
ya haystack turned into the haystack club, BUT then they bought all of the new stuff (big entrance) and a gondola but it turned out tht was a big mistake. not enough people joined the club and they turned banckrupt and no it hasnt been used commercialy ever since.
