Help on not flailing everywhere

I flail sooo bad and need help fixing it. Most my spins no matter how big the jump I always flail. Doing 3s, and 5s on the pro line at tremblant I always flail like fuck and everyone always thinks I die, but I somehow pull it together in the end and land everytime. My friend told me to just go with a really wide stance, and sometimes that helps, when I go super exageratly wide, but not always, im still flailing real bad. And whenever I try 7s I get super nervous and throw my spin way to hard and do a 5 thats even more flailed. Any ideas?

maybe you could grab onto something that would make your arms not flail.....your skis perhaps?

You should bring it back to the basics and work on making your threes really really solid. Just focus on flow. Just pop off the lip and set with your head and shoulders, and then just flow around, spot your landing, come around and stomp, there's nothing to flail about.
Be zen about it, you know?

are you spinning with your shoulders/head, or are you relying on winding up your arms and hucking yourself?

don't be backseat, you flail more backseat.
and the suggestion of grabbing onto something is a good one too. when you go into a jump with the mentality of grabbing your snowsticks your body tends to move automatically into a better stance so you can reach that grab. then you flail less.

dont worry youll just get used to it soon, try doing some double safety grabs, they help with backseat problems. at least thats what they did for me, and they help you not flail as much

1. lean forward
2. widen your stance to shoulder width
3. grab your skis or try reaching your arm around and grabing your shoulder

Flailing usually comes from two things, either being off axis (off balance) or not having enough rotation to get around smoothly. Some things you can try are the following.
Being off axis/off balance: Make sure you aren't throwing the spin too early. Wait till you pop. A wider stance helps sometimes, though that is more for rotation. Keep your eyes on the horizon and try to tuck up a bit. Grabs can help, but only if you already have your spin solid, which would mean you probably wouldn't flail anyway.
Spinning too slowly: Wider stance, use your arms/shoulders to set your rotation harder. Consciously think of staying tight in the air.
Mostly, style just comes with practice. Get your trick so dialed that you don't have to think about it, then you can think about other things, like where your arms are. Once you're that comfortable, think of just keeping everything tight and start going for some grabs. If you have a trampoline or something like that, do 40 (or more) of them a day. Practice, Practice, Practice.

visualize in your head you stomping the cleanest spin ever. Also, as soon as you set your rotation, just kinda tuck up and keep your arms glued to your side and turn your head and spot your landing. if those don't work, try just going for a safety so your holding something not flailing. If none of those work, too bad for you.

this is gonna sound kinda obvious but work on doing straight airs and staying as motionless as you can. it helps with your air awareness a ton.

you can glue poles to where your arm stubs are, then you still have poles, and don't flail.
Perfect Solution?

a wise man once told me....."don't spill your water" if you take a glass of water and spin around your head in one motion it doesn't spill out. if you do it in incriments and all jerky like it will spill all over your head......so don't spill it

one thing that helped me is popping with a lot of pressure on the shins of my boots. if you pop forward you will not flail i guarantee it.
