HDPE sizing?

I am building a box and i am getting some hdpe for the top. I was wondering if this is the right stuff i should get or not?

The thicker the better, I'd say. We got 1/8" and it changes sive with temp, so when it's warm it gets all wavy

I've always heard a minimum of a quarter inch, if you want to go without coping I'd go for 3/8" if you can. Just figure out how much you need and get the thickest you can afford to get, topsheet isn't the place I would recommend trying to save money.
