News reporters embedded with troops in wars allowing the public to see what is really going on. I think this first started with Vietnam?

It did and they did a terrible job at informing people which is why citizens were so against the war. They had never show video of soldiers dying before and it outraged people so they pressed the government into pulling out. Hmm... sounds familiar.
