i currently have mine at about 11? markers suck and they release when i flip....so i just crank em up farther than the numbers go. where do you guys set it?

im like 180 lbs, ride park and my rossi bindings are only on 8. they hardly ever come off... never pre-release, only when i fall hard and need them to...

weight has allot to do with it but more importantly its how aggresive you ski. Im only 130lbs yet so far this year I've broken my Look p12's and are always clipping out of my S810's set at 9. pretty much all bindings suck except look p18's.

You, my friend, are fucking clueless and should not be touching a screwdriver -

Pegging a binding at its maximum setting leaves the springs NO room for recoil and actually makes the binding pre-release much easier!

Think of it as driving a car with no shocks - a proper DIN setting for you will allow the binding to absorb impacts and keep your skis on -

A general rule of thumb is not to exceed 2/3rd of the bindings maximum DIN

Example - i ride marker Free/Comp 18s and set my din at 11

If I had marker free 14's a din of 11 to 12 would be pushing the springs ability to work properly.

If you are such a beast that you need a 14 din setting, then you should be mounting up 18+ din bindings only


Your stupidity is going to lead to a PCL tear - good luck

why would you ever buy marker bindings??

if you buy quality bindings (like race stock rossis) you dont need to crank up the din so much. they stay on fine and are much safer.

salomons= poop     they pop off too much
marker=  even more poop
rossi= prolly the best
look= basically the same as rossi

what are you talking about? Last weekend I landed sideways on a 70 foot BC jump and I ejected just fine. My din is on 13 or so, and Im only 145 pounds.

dude dont use a screwdriver. take em to the shop to adjust because i turned mine up with a screwdriver to about 8.5 and i thought it worked out well then i went off a cliff and hit some crust which sent me into a freefall and my ski didnt come off cuz my weight wasnt completely on it so it twisted my leg and i had to go in for surgery

I would never ski markers, but in my opinion they are the easiest to mount and test, they always test out low in the heel though, so that may explain your ejecting problems.

i rock mine at 8. i'm 170 pounds. i've lost a one ski a full times but have never had the full double eject. but then again i don't hit many jumps.

I got the skis used and markers were already on there. I got the shop guys to do them because I know nothing about DIN or ski bindings.
