just wondering if anyones been on both the dyna big troubles and legend series, and if they are changing the legend series much as the rider series, which would be better for rare east coast powder days in a multiple ski quiver

I own the BT and have used both the Legend 8800 and the Legend Pro Rider. The 8800 and BT seem to be quite similar (to me) in flex pattern and in how forgiving they are in unpredictable snow. Both skis hold an edge quite well and, because of their relative flexability, if you are using them as an all-mtn ski, go for longer lengths (my favourite length for the 8800 is 178 and I'm 5'8"; 170 lbs). If you are looking for park skis, don't bother with the 8800 - it's a purely directional ski.
As for the Pro Rider, totally different ski - much stiffer and needs a high speed, aggressive rider. My understanding is that the Legend series is being replaced with the Mythic line (and that the 8800 is becoming the Mythic Rider - a significantly stiffer ski)
All times are Eastern (-5)
