go off bigger jumps and throw the same 3 and it will turn into a 5
then throw harder and instead of across thrown over your shoulder behind you

start pulling your knees up to your chest during your spins. Once
you've got that, go for the grab. I learned mutes first, but I'd say
start with safetys. Make sure your grabs are at a point where you can
just reach down and grab without really thinking about it during
straight airs.
For 5s, don't think about them like 360 + 180,
or you'll stop at 360 every time. It's a lot easier to think of 5s as
180 + sw 360. It's also easier to hit a bigger jump than try to spin faster on a small jump.

remember that as long as you commit, most crashes dont hurt as much as you think theyre going too. its just getting over that mental block.
good luck bro.

I'm kinda in the same situation, I got my first five on a jump yesterday. I just threw a fast 360 and when I saw my landing I just kept spinning.
If I'm spinning to the left, what grab should I throw with what hand to help.

well for corks, i learned by just carving up the lip like you are turning. then drop the shoulder, look at your heel. for grabs i found i learned criticals first. then i started doing 3's with true tails. you just gotta kinda cross the skii and bring it to you, and then once its grabbed its easy to pull it bigger. i find mutes really akward to spin with :S i think its cas you gotta lean forward.

if you are grabbing make sure you get the spin set before you grab. you might also want to spin faster than you would with a regular spin because reaching for the grab will draw some momentum.
