I'm soo tired of this I have had my ski pass taken away 3 times this year. It really fucking sucks a lot.
1st time was for drinking and smashing a champange bottle ( crissining) a chair on the mtn @ whistler blackcomb.
2nd time was at kicking hoarse, there was some sweet lines just over the ski area boundary line, we did 2 runs on it, our 3rd run down the full chute we got caught and kicked off kicking hoarse. - understandable as we coulda have caused an avalanch putting ourselves in danger. But we drove 13 hours from whistler to ski there and were a bit choaked afterwards.
3rd This weekend skied under the cliff sign and way offf the left of the cirque, then hit the bottom of don't think. Some dickwad civilian phoned in and said we wreer skiing out of bounds, i got back up the chiar and get my pass yanked again....but i didn't ski in any permenatly closed areas, we just took a special way that didn't go through any of those signs which most people don't take. So showed the ski patroler how we got into where we wheer and stuff and then got my pass back. but its still super stressful and annoying to have your pass taken away. I hate it.
I don't undertsand why they are trying to crack down on this stuff so much more this year? I have never gotten in any trouble for any of it before.....and tis not liek there has been higher incidents of death adn accidents and they are more affraid of being sued so they have to crack down....but really nothing has chnaged that i know of and they are just being super hard asses about it now compaired to before. One of the Ullr girls got her pass yanked for a month or 2 for skiing the weekend shoots this year.... why the sudden harshness?
Any one else had misfortunate events?
