I just got mine P ememys with Px 12 jibers and there's pretty much no difference in weight compared to my old school fujis. But Way stiffer so should be a good ripper ski. I will find out on tuesday then I will let you know the truth.

maybe it doesnt defect but i would personnely rather have a super sick ski with a deffect (Scratch BC is not in this categorie, super solid ski) then a shit ski that lasts forever...id much rather have a shity ski defect so i can get rid of it

ok whoever said they suck on rails your retarded they have like double thick edges so you can hit rails on them and not break your edges

Hahahahaha, man the PE is a real ski...that you can use on everything. It is stiff if you have little noodle legs or are used to skiing wet cardboard.
As for a ski being 'bad on rails". That is really funny and one damned goofy characteristic to label upon any ski. You can slide rails with 2x4s mounted to your feet. Every ski is good on rails.
Scratch BC is fun and has a good even flex to it. PE will take a beating and will be a bit snappier in the tail. Where do you live at?

gotta go with the pe's, i personally love a stiff ski, these things rip the whole mtn. and yeah aparantly they have strong edges idk i cracked one but that can be expected after 60+ days of jibbing. sick graphic too

BC's. They're lighter than the PE's, and not quite as stiff.

love my publics...possibly getting fujis for next year, but only because I have an all mountain ski.
If you can only have one ski, it would be the publics.

I have both and I would deffinately go with the BC if your more big mountain oriented. They can hold their own in the park and are wayy better for powder than publics

The edges are indestructible on PEs, its ridiculous. They are heavy, but they are sooooooooo solid as a ski for everything. Landings feels so smooth and stable, and rails are great on them. On top of everything, the skis will last you so long. I know so many guys who put past PEs through hell and they say it still rides great.

not really. because the b.c. is an equal ski for all around if not better than the p.e. And they ski just as well in the park

Bingo. The skis aren't comparable. The PE is 85mm underfoot, the BC is 98mm. The Scratch FS is the PE's Rossi cousin.
+ yes, the PE is stiffer, and to me feels like the old K2 Extreme in twin-tip mode: a stiff mofo with forward front flex and a kicker tail. I think it's a covert-operations big mountain ski at old-style width, personally. It's not that hot on ice, but it can hold seriously long shredding turns in pow and chop AND, yah, it can turn fast and quick in bumps and trees with a bit of swivel. It's super decent in pow but if you ask me anything 80mm and over can kick the pow if you've got the skillz. Now I'm not big into rails, it seems to slide well, but I can say that it is very, very solid off kickers and in the pipe, a really nice solid landing. It feels solid in the air. But I've always liked a stiffer, slightly heavier ski.
+ as for durability, the topsheet gets chewed to all hell (I've got a coreshot in the topsheet, wtf), but the edges are durable as all fuck and the base is solid. It IS a K2.
+ now I just bought this year's BC but you'll have to wait until next season to hear how it rides.. ;p

^ this guys got the low down. Ya i have mad coreshots on my top too but i cant complain the ski has held up pretty well. As for the BC ya it is wider more pow oriented cant really compare it to an all mtn twin although it does handle well in that area. Durability wise i would say the PE is the way to go, ive heard the new rossis do not hold up well at all

i agree that he should get the bc, but i 100% dissagree that the PEs suck. they are a very respectable ski.

My public's are so good everywhere. They are heavy and soft topsheet, but not at all a poppy ski. Rossis probably are.

I demoed the bc's last weekend, super buttery, soft landings. floaty in power, they hold an edge on ice, insainely light, and spun reatively decent. they took a little getting used to on rails but they killed on switch take offs and landings. just a wicked fun ski. not sure about the pe's but i would think they would be too stiff for your size.

I didn't know PEs have become a fav ski out east.. last year I was the only one I think on Tremblant rockin' them, this year I saw over like a dozen kids w/ PEs.. and nobody with Rossis... but that's 'cause the Rossi is a pow ski. PE is a truckdrivin' motherfuckin' piece of heavy armour designed to spear the living shit out of you. Especially the 05/06 graphics.
