I havent been keeping up to date on the new heads and shit...but i just cracked my head on a face off and need a new one and want a good kinda tightly pinched head. For reference I just broke a Finalizer. So what would you all suggest?
nope, get an evolution or revo pro if you play mid. you dont want a proton for face offs. try an e3 also they are nice. go with basic heads that arent too pinched, but not too wide for faceoffs.
I don't think you can just pick a head without trying it a little bit. Assuming your on a team, try out all your friends even if its just throwing and shit during line drills
All the heads mentioned here are good options but it really comes down to what you like.
I am using my evo on my back up stick but i dont take face offs to often i mostly play attack. I was just playin middie in a scrimmage. But I tried both the E3 and the answer and liked them and was seeing what people think about durability and shit on them.
It matters more how you string it actually. My coach has literally a 20$ head, he played at Maryland and he could smoke anyone on our team with any shot because he strung it to fit himself.
yes i have strung all of my heads and will do the same with this one. But, heads do affect your game; how pinched it is, weight, flex/stiffness, how offset it is, durability, etc.
I just bought and E3 and an answer lol got a good deal on them so I got them both.
how about instead of being so broad, you tell us what you like in a head. Did you like the finalizer? If so, what did you like about it? The pinch? the flexiness? The scoop? The offset?
Alright, even though I just got new heads Ill give a short review of the Finalizer.
Its very pinched which I like and the offset is almost perfect to where i like it. It feels like you have so much control of the ball.
The bad: I would not recommend this head for middies as it flexes way to easy and when facing off it bends to easy and breaks. Also the soft flex makes the ball bounce out of your pocket when catching. You have to use very soft hands when it gets that flexy.
Over all I liked the head for attack it delivers a great accurate shot but is a poor middie head.
get an evo pro, i have one and it's super sick. I really have no idea what new heads there are tho, I haven't been keeping up at all. But i've had a cyber and razer and both are also very good heads
