i thought pc was supposed to have the sickest parks around. well i skied there today and all the rails were setup totally weird and the jumps were not that large. one large 50 foot step up but that was it. did it used to be a lot better or what? pc's parks also have no flow at all, everyone stops before hitting every single feature. so whats going on? it cant be lack of snow, the snow here is terrible but there is still enough to set up a rail correctly and build a few huge jumps.
are you kidding? take a look around. park city is still sick. look at brighton the canyons or whereever else you want with decent parks and PC spanks em all.
^ yeah, but for a place that has one of the "best parks in the world" as it's been voted in many magazines, I don't think it's all that impressive. Maybe It's a wierd year, and with the park location changes it's making things difficult, but when i watch movies or see stuff from years past it looks sorta weak this year. There isn't really anything big or medium sized.
Pick is way small. King's is pretty small. The jumps in Jonesys are built wierd, and the one big hit is/was huge.
I love the way the jumps are built in Kings. I just wish they were all 10-15 feet longer. Wide, poppy, but too short. Oh well, still a baller place to shred park.
I agree. I've been skiing P.C. for 3 years and this year is different. But mainly because of location changes and crappy weather. I use to spend more of my time in the expert park, but now I find myself more in Kings because Jonesey's is wack and dosen't have a very good flow(lower Jonesy's is pointless by the way). And ya If kings was just like 10 feet bigger on each hit...ohhhhhhhhhhh.
I agree. We took a trip over to PC this weekend, and I was stoked to ride there from all the good things I've heard of its parks. I didn't know PC was hurting for snow like we are. We made a good time out of it though.
sounds like pc's park crew is a bunch of slackers this year. reminds me of copper.
and about the lack of snow thing, at the beginning of this year with hardly any snow the breck park crew opened country boy terrain park with two 45-50' jumps, this before any other colorado resort had a 25' jump open. and that isn't anything compared to when they open freeway terrain park.
you can do a lot with just a little bit of snow, its just about who is raking ur in-runs.
ding ding ding... we have a winner. lazy park crew is about it. not all are lazy, but most.
and if you guys want to complain...
you can always email resort management. tell them what you like, tell them what you don't like.
i mean don't get me wrong, when there are things that get built to film shaun white or jon olson things get good, except that they take a good park and make it shitty just to have one photoshoot feature. but hey that is how you get shots in movies,,, or you could just have sick stuff all the time like it was before the jon jump was built and LEAVE IT ALONE FOR MORE THAN A FEW DAYS.
i just think that the parks should be for those who shell out the 1000 dollars or whatever to ride the parks that get shut down for a week here or a week there. it is just a bummer.
joneseys used to be so sick when they had four jumps and when they made it three with the last jump being huge and poppy and kings had a ton of nice rails and the jump were pretty goodbut all of the snow is melting so fast and they had to take stuff out because there wasnt enough snow for it
