Help with an avi torrent

So i finished downloading the torrent, and i open the folder and there are a ton of winrar things, should i extract them all to another folder?

like i extracted all the winrar things, and it gives me an avi file to play, i play it, windows media player comes up, but i only get sound, and that little cool picture comes up that comes up when you are listening to music

i think you need the divx codec, download it at www.divx.com

yeah i needed the XviD codec, i d/l it and it works now
