lets try to keep this all in one thread... how was your day?

I left after only 4 runs with a chunk of my elbow missing. I am currently nursing it (and my 7 stiches) back to health. I thought it was aboslutly absurd to think they could continue the comp with all the hay and rocks....

also, the EMT guy didn't follow procedures, adn technically (talking to a couple EMTs I know) I could sue them, beucase as a minor I am not allowed to sign myself off, even though I did, and was not told otehrwise... so ya, I think once they get moer snow it will be good, but until then it's horrible.

thats why you disappeared so early pat. damn that sucks. yeah it was just a lil bit sketchy eh. their insurance company would have shit a brick if they knew what was going on. it was kinda dangerous and funny. drunk people, fights, fires, fireworks, and skiing all in one place.

no, I was teh one who kinda slid out on the 2nd 3 I did (before the comp started). Didn't even hurt, wouldn't have noticed it if the blood wasn't dripping off my hand.

today blew, but it was funny. people getting tangled in the rails and such. such a dangerous and sketchy setup. the contest was pretty funny. 'everyone coome and meet behind tis truck' there was 16 year olds they let in. my friend got so cheated. in the contest, he drank 7. everyone quit at 6. then there was a final speed round on 1 beer, and he got beat.got beat by a 35 year old though.the police and or insurance company would ahve definately shit a brick if they had seen that. rediculous.itll get better.....

ha that was the worst. first run i bit it in the hay an my arm got scraped on som hidden rocks, im lucky my new skis werent destroyed. second run i got heat exauhtion and went inside. and if you saw the kid in the black snow pants hit the rail and take out a haybail into the dirt lift thing, that was me... bad day

haha, i was diggn out my scab cuz it was full of hay and dirt and i wanted to dump peroxide in there. and what did i find in there a rock. about half the size of a marble. it was sweet, and now i have a hole, but its swollen all around and looks like an asshole or somthn.

Woah, those pics show a little less than what I expected, but hey, it's cool that they're even able to set something like that up. I mean, it's not much, but at least it's skiing in the summer right? Anyway, upon looking at the pics I was reminded of a time when haybails were used to build jumps at my hometown. It's actually quite dangerous to do. As strange as it may sound, the hay could actually catch fire if it's insulated by the snow and it stays wet. Just like how a barn fire starts, the wet hay can get extremely hot as it decomposes especially if it's insulated like that. This actually happened at my resort back east. One of the tabletops caught fire and was smoking harder than Bob Marley on April 20th!

it was just fun to chill and watch people fall. i didn't really feel like killing myself too much more after my first fall so i quit early. except for my little rainbow rail boot sesh at the end. that fall was funny where that kid ran straight into the kid fixing the rail. that will be up on this soon, we have it on tape. we have the fight on tape as well. :-)

since its freakin 90 degrees on the EC right now its alittle hard to get alot of snow out there. Im sure it will be better in the coming weeks when it cools down a bit.

all in all, it was fun, whoever expected more was asking too much, the highlights were: 1 me, fucking myself up on prett much every tirne, even though i'd land, i never really got th art of the hay skiing, 2. the guy taking the chinese guy completely off his feet. and 3. the fight at te end wraped everthing up. i mean, thsoe too guys were rolling down the hill, it was hilarious.
