when u do a switch up or spin off rails, im talking mostly about spinning of rails tho, do you jump off the rail? or do you turn your shoulders facing downhill or up to make your body spin? cuz when i try to do a 270 off, its like my feet get suck at the 90.

Mines really sketchy, i land almost all the time but i'm still trying to get used to it. i have a hard time getting used to jumping off a rail, usually i try to spin with my upper body, but sometimes i cna just huck my legs around. thats weird you get stuck at 90, usually i get stuck at 180 and cant make the last 90..
try a higher rail, and spin the first like 30* on the rail to get going

if your sliding a rail left foot forward, spin to the left, and if your right foot forward, spin to the right.

i used to pop off rails and spin out but my 270 outs were really sketchy and ugly. now i dont even pop out of them, just rotate shoulders and edge a bit like a pretzel. its way more laid back

most of the better riders at my hill don't pop. they make it look really effortless and smooth by rotating while still on the rail

push your shoulders around first, then Drop your ski off the side of the rail and push around. i don't really know how to esplain, it just comes to you one day

Ya i use to just jump and try to spin but the technique is to get ur back foot on the ledge. For example if ur griding right foot first get ur left foot on the left edge and just push off.
And to get that foot on the ledge just act like u don't have skis under you and think of starting ur rotation while on the box. point ur shoulder toward the end of the box and ur foot will get locked on the ledge then just practice spining 270 off.
This is all for normal 2 offs, not blindside.

you have to split your skis, its kinda weird at first but you will eventually get the hang of it and it will be easier for you

i always spin naturally, unnatural spins off rails are much harder for me. but maybe its different for other people.

its all about taking control of the rail or box. say right foot forward, kick your back foot off the right side of the rail.

usually when taking a rail u focus on the end of the rail.
right before spinning off just look at the beginning of the rail, then commit.
for switchups, when u land on the rail u get a little compression which you can smoothly transition into jumping up slightly.. keep your skis spinning and commit. Try to regain focus on the end of the rail as soon as possible...

its not complicated it you just need practice !!! first start with 270 0ff after blind 270 off after ... do the same but
earlier on rails so that it will do a Switch up...

you have to commit and spin with your hips, if you do this it's easier to jump since you're focusing on your lower half, though you don't necessarily need to jump with 270s.

commitment is key, the first time i really committed i landed it but it didnt look good. i just kept on trying till i got it down. o yeah if right foot forward, spin to the right like others have said.
