my friends dad was up there...i think it was early this week, and he said there was a photo shoot and a sled was taking them back up and then they would go off the jump and go "up side down" i think he was drunk when he told us this...but any one know what company was doing the shoot?
it is a flattened out QP. it isn't quite vert, so you shoot way high like a QP, but you keep forward momentum, and land on the back side. quite an innovative jump I must say
Private shoot for Freeskier. Andrew Hathaway, Mike Clarke, Scott Hibbert and Ahmet Dadali. Freeskier Road Trip Challenge. We'll be releasing a series of episodes later this spring/summer about the whole challenge!
Sunday River hooked it up and increased the size of the air-hill jump to 60 feet (80 if you landed in the middle of the landing) did some work to the quarter to make it more hippish and provided some sled time.
Special thanks to the park and pipe crew and A.Kauf at the river for making it happen.
Weather was poo at the time so it wasn't all that dope. I built the channel in the QP by hand. It mostly tilled out now, but if you hit the QP from right to left near the shoulder you can still make it to the backside.
