is it simple to weld at home? i have no clue how to, or anything about welding and dont own any welding material. so what im asking is, would it be easy for me to just pick up welding and start making rails?

It's relatively easy if you have the right equipment. I've done both stick welding and mig welding and it's easy. If you have someone to at least show you the basics you'll get it, but first you need a welder. good luck with that one.

i have a mig welder (wire fed) its pretty easy to weld, took metalshop in high school

just go at it bro. go rent a welder, but dont let them sucker u into any of those add ons like "eye and face protection". that shit will cost u more and its just for pussies.
no instruction really required, just a closed space with not a lot of ventilation, and make sure noones around.

You might also prefer to take aluminium for your rail, way better to weld and smells good to, just take some biiiig sniffs when your busy

haha i'm still not picking it up. i dont get why a closed space /w less ventelation is prefered. i figured one would go with say a garage or something? or is this just because as you said you don't need the protection shit?
i'm pretty interested in welding some stuff other then the fact i have no idea where to get a welder and i'll prlly mess something up
