thats not bad, for college next year, i want one priced at like 500 but i don't want a shitty one. i'll go real bargain hunting

i have a dell latitude d600 and its workes great except the battery life isent long enough.this one is like 3 years old to.

sell it and buy a mac

everyones biggest thing about buying a mac is they don't know how to use it. its so much easier to use than a pc, no hidden stuff, theres not 5 different ways to get one result and its all super easy to set up networks and stuff like that.

mac should let people like test a mac for a week or something and i guarantee most people would switch to a mac.

the computer magazines are saying vista ain't got crap compared to leopard. and most people don't really need to worry about getting a computer specific to them like how a mac is way better for editing cause most people don't get that into it where they would really know the difference.

c'mon i need some reviews. not an arguement between macs and pcs

if a mac is "so much easier to use than a pc" then why do people have issues with not knowing "how to use it"

Alot of things on macs are much harder to change than on a pc.
At least they are not hard to change when you discover where to change them but the average user probably isnt going to discover them. Windows is alot more transparent when it comes to settings and for the average user it probably easier to customise. Windows Vista fixes alot of problems of inexperienced users mucking up their computer as, by default, it will check with the user before making a change. This also applies for any programmes trying to install themselves, which leads to a reduction in viruses being installed inadvertedly.

Anyway reevant to the origonal post.. If your laptop has vista on it: The worst thing I've found with vista so far is that its quite memory intensive, so if you're gonna be running vista you should upgrade the ram to 1Gb + I've got 768Mb but im gonna be upgrading to 1536Mb as soon as I get some disposable coinage.

If i had to pay for my lap top, i probably would have gotten another PC, but thank god for graduation gifts. If you can afford it, get a mac.
