Don't get me wrong, still one of the best, but it seems as if, for the amount of publicity he gets, he should be the tiger woods of the big mountain skiing world. I mean when is the last time Seth did a segment as sick as Ian Mcintosh's in Anamoly.
seth morrison IS the tiger woods of backcountry skiing....he can huck huge cliffs and hes an ammazing steep and deep skier.i dont know wtf your talkin about but hes amazing....hugo harrison is like the only one that can keep up in the steeps
did you see Show and Prove, if you did not you missed out on Seth's best segment in a long time, preety much the only good part of the movie but it was still good. What Seth does is huck huge ass flips off of big clifs, I don't beleive Ian Macintosh did a trick off of a clif in anomaly, mind you he had some ammazing technical runs and some sweet straight lines, but seth has really technical lines too, check out his last line in War.
have you even skiied in the backcountry?? He is still at the top of the game, ya ian macintosh is sick but what the fuck are you talking about, saying seth is overrated. Big mountain skiing was brought into the movies because of seth. Fuck you. i'm sure your mountain has nice jumps
Either you are saying this to stir things up and cause controversy, or you have no idea what you are talking about. Seth has been one of the forerunners in Big Mountain hucks and lines. Almost every segment of his is dynomite. You should check out Show and Prove. It is the sickest big mountain stuff I've seen in a while.
Seth is the king of backcountry. He's been ripping crazy lines for ages, only now can anybody actually start to come even close to as good as seth.
He does huge backs in the middle of lines most people wouldn't even try to ski. overrated? really, do your research
MacIntosh is sick, don't get me wrong. But Seth is a legend. Yes there are better technical skiers out there, Hugo, Nobis and more, but Seth will slay huge lines then launch massive fronts or backs. Even getting on in his years he is pretty much at the top of the sport. You don't rag on legends, you just don't.
50 footers ???? Seth can do even bigger ! Just remember his rodeo 720 in Ski Movie III that was on an 80 footer(Acoording to him and Freeze). I'm pretty sure he did some even bigger backflips. He's definatly NOT overrated. I've never seen any skier doing such huge flips while going down a sick line. The difference between hucking one and have to care about nothing else before or after the cliff and doing the same during a line is HUUUGGGEEE. Props to Seth for killing it at over 30 years old(close to 35).
if you watch ski movie 3 and compare it to any other big mountain segemt from the time it was released, you will see that he was the only person who could ski like he did. on the other hand, these days there are a handful of brave souls who are willing to try and catch up to him.
well its because, you can go to mammoth and look at the rail that someone did and be like, cool, thats a big rail. No one is gonna march into the alaska bc and be like, shit no one else in the world can ski that like seth did. Big mountain is hella overlooked. And seth is super UNDERRATED. and you're smoking crack, bitch.
I still have seen no one do the things seth morrison does. I've done backflips off cliffs but seth does them going mach 9. It's the speed that impresses me. I've seen a lot of fronts and backs off cliffs by other skiers, but not with that kind of speed. He is always doing it in the best snow, but he is possibly the only skier i know of who can see a huge cliff and know just how fast to rotate. He has a lot of experience that he got from sacking up and doing it.
Ian McIntosh is also the shit. That was real cool seeing the segment he laid down in anomaly. He is the man. tech lines skied super fast and smooth. I only saw it once, but i remember being impressed. A lot of exposure, not just single huge hucks to deep snow. Incredible segment. Nice to see someone get some cred for that kind of skiing.
No way dude, in one of the more recent MSP movies he has a shitty snow year and still throws down. He is just messing around on bad snow and hucking fatty lincolns and stuff.
man seth is sick look back to yearbook or focused and some of those rodeos are completely nuts but i do agree i havent seen him throw down as hard as he used to
Yeah, just seeing how love is out there for seth. A LOT apparently, and yes i own Show and Prove, although the california seg is my personal favorite, the pemberton heli seg was pretty ridiculous. It's just no one ever mentions him or any big mountain skiers on NS so i thought i would drop his name and see how much love he gets (ya know move the threads away from just park stuff).
Seth DOESN'T get a lot of publicity. Not like Sal is standing at the bottom of a 200 foot cliff to interview him. He speaks with actions. And he's fucking incredible.
Ian macintosh is one of my good friends and yes hes an amazing skier , but not even near seth when it comes to over all skill , calling seth over rated is the stupidest shit ever, thats like saying Tanner Hall cant slide rails.
fa sho, no one woulda discussed big mountain stuff unless you piss them off enough. I mean look ata all the threads on big mountain, all 0 of them. And yes i realize it make me look like a stupid, dumbass, ignorant, gayper.
Lets all rate people on their video part, especially from film makers like poor boyz who probably care more about park then big mtn. Face it, morrison own.
