Mount Hood Summer Ski Camp

Ok, so who has ever gone to this camp?
I really want to go to a summer ski camp, but i have to pay for all of it (excluding airfare) with my own money :(. This makes price a huge factor. i have some dough saved up, but i don't really want to empty the bank for one week of bliss.
Mount Hood Ski camp is only 995 per week compared to other camps charging 18hundred bucks.
My main question is wether any of you have gone there, and if the park is good. i live on the east coast, so i really would rather have nice jumps than nice rails. i ski a lot of rails here at home. Is it worth it to spend the extra 700 dollars to go to a little bit better camp, or will Mt. Hood fufill my desire for summer snow?

Windells is pretty sick...the off hill stuff is fun...they have some sick skating areas too..I don't know what that other place has...but lots of people just save money, come with a group of friends and ride the public park for a couple of days..lift tickets are like 35$ a day though...that gets included in your camp price so you don't have to worry about that...or where to sleep, what to eat etc...
I guess no matter if you just camp or go to camp its alot of $

i know the ppl who run the camp and they are awesome! but the public park most of the time is better then the camps! you will save a lot of money if you just go camping and buy lift ticket.

MHSSC has good stuff. Get one or two of your friends to come with you and you will basically have your own park for a week. And you can chill with the Montage Crew! we run this with a funness

I've got a question. How much $$$ would a trip to hood(not a camp) from S.L.C. cost all around? How much are lift tickets?

i've heard lift tickets are around 35 bucks a day and airfare wouldnt be too expensive from SLC.
its around 350 round trip right now from syracuse NY, so I couldnt see it being too bad

so, how much is like a summer pass... cause I'm going up there after I get out of school in may, and I plan on finding a job at like the timberline lodge or something and staying in my car or camping so my only real expense would be riding... anyone done this?
also, anyone heard of the digger deal or whatever where you go and dig and fix shit but not for money, just for free riding?

i went to mt hood summer ski camp two years ago and it was a bad snow year for that area but they still had some nice stuff. the jumps were pretty good sized the last booter was like 65 feet and they had some nice rails and boxes. the camp itself is right on the main road, but there really isint to much to do their. when i went if you were over the age of 15 you got to stay in a hotel in the town which meant you could basically do whatever you felt like but the reagular camp had 1 mini pipe and 1 eight foot pipe for skating and a couple rails. they do some kool off site trips after skiing like cliff diving and paintball. all in all the camp was pretty chill and the park was fine unless ur super good and looking for the massive features of a camp like windells or camp of champions at whistler

I was there 3 y/o now, the park was pretty lame a decent 3 hit line, weak rails. I was there for racing, and as far as i know it is more of a racing camp. Hood will be a blast either way.
All times are Eastern (-5)
