its always a bitch, there is a really good thread on tgr forums search over there, but a hint to getting the spring back under the break is to put the entire heel piece back together minus the spring, and the back screws and metal piee, then using a big flat head screw driver whack the spring back in place, then put the metal piece and screws back into place
what a worthless post, oh yeah also when you bend the brakes bend them straight out first, then, bend them down, my shop did one pair for me and they just bent the brakes out to make a V so i had to go back and rebend them after because they wouldnt go up
look sells wide brakes with any binding, and usually they are 50$. but, if you are buying the binding at the same time, they will just swap the stock look brake(worth 25$)with the wide break, and take it off the cost of the widebrake, so really its a deal at 25$.
I have bent the brakes (accidentally) on every pair of look bindings i've ever owned, and I always end up having to cut them off, or hook them on my ski so they don't drag
