I see what you mean and that is kind of bitchy. But you know that's when you pick specific days to skip to go skiing if you couldn't get your scedual right in the first place. Only pick out the most epic days out to go skiing as in a perfect t blue bird spring day, or a powder day. If you skip like 5 days in a row, then he is going to notice especially if it isn't a big class.

And who cares if you got B's on both tests? I guarantee you that you received a syllabus in first few classes that outlined the fact that if you miss X amount of classes than you fail. If the teacher wanted to teach a class in which YOU set up the schedule and relied on tests to give you a grade, he wouldn't have attendance or would have taught an online class. This thread should be entitled "fucking dumbass student who can't read his syllabus and can't handle the fact that he's too damn dumb to understand the consequences for his actions."

if it was like 5 consecutive days in a row, that would be an entire week. That would be freakin educational suicide if you ask me...
Also, now that I think about it, I have only missed his class 2 times to go skiing. The other 3 times, I showed up like 2 or 3 mins late and he told me to leave.. which sucks because the traffic is retarded and very inconsistant (I leave 40 mins before class and still sometimes end up late)
Iono, like, whenever I WOULD miss a day, I would get the notes still. I would just miss his lecture... So I'm still learning...
Whatever, it just seems kinda petty to me... especially to notify me of how he feels, 3 weeks after my last absense...

Dude, chill the fuck out man... the syllabus says you can miss up to 2 weeks of classes (so 6 classes) and the class is a zero discussion class. Its 100% lecture. Iono about your own situation, but pretty much every class that I have had that is similar to this (lecture only type class) has been very open and the teachers didnt really take roll.. they just kind of let you do whatever, and if you couldnt make it, but still got the notes and did well on assignments, you were cool. I know that that kinda seems unfair to the students that show up every time, but they are trying to get A's... I'm just trying to pass the class and get the credits. I'm not too worried about my final grade as long as its passing... at least with this class.
Sorry for my bitching about the situation, but sometimes I just need to blow off steam... you feel?

Well then go take it up with the Dean of students. If he tells you that you can miss 6 classes and at 5 he kicks you out, take it to the top.

Yeah... its a 3x per week class. I took a week off of school and work when we had a huuuge powder week here, and that was worth it... the rest of the times I was either deathly sick with food poisoning or I showed up at 9:33 or 9:35 instead of 9:30...
I dropped the class and got my money back... so fuck it... That professor was a serious dousche...

1. You go to a community college. At many community colleges, professors get paid for student attendence. Although most university professors could give two shits whether or not you show up at class, the same is not the case with most community colleges, and attendence often affects your grade (trust me, I know this first-hand).
2. How the hell did you get your money refunded? The last day to drop a class and be eligible for a refund was January 29, and the last day to drop a class without a refund was February 12. It's now March 20th, nearly two months after the last day you could receive a refund.
3. "I don't know." Read it a few times and memorize it, please.

yea, at my college, we didnt have to go to class, all my teachers took attendance, but it didnt actually matter. i hardly went to school at all, all my teachers did was read out of the textbook, and i mean, i can do that at home, minus the stupid questions that come from stupid kids. i had a 4.0 too, sooo going to class had nothing to do with learning...for me. the teachers did used to make fun of me for not showing up though, thank me for showing up to exams and such...but hey, i did well, why waste my time going when i didnt have to? if i had needed to go to learn i would have.

i fell asleep during a lesson in college, and the teacher was apparently like saying super calmly that if your going to sleep just get out of my class, and i didnt move, then someone pulled my hand away from my face, and my head hit the desk.. and i remember my head hurting then i immediately said after "dont throw shit at me".. haha i dont knwo why... but then after that the teacher was like you might want to go take a walk and come back, so i did, i went grabbed food, and came back then he bitched at me for feeding myself during class... idunno.. my teachers hate me... like once i got accused of stealking a poem that I acctually wrote! and i was accused that i stole it and when i asked why she thought that she was like its too good for you to write it.. liek i may act like a dumb ass at times but i'm smart... most of the time

Yea, good call. I mean, I like to eat and breathe, so what the fuck am I doing in university? I should drop out to eat full time. People have multiple objectives ass-face. I want to ski while I have my youth (because I won't be able to do this shit when I'm past 25 probably) and I also want to go to school so when I stop skiing, I will have an education that will help me get a career. Fuckkkker.
