Yes Line has flaws, as does every ski company. But they're always coming out with something new, or improving their stuff. The first year armadas weren't the best but people bought them the next year and the AR 5 now the 6 has gotten a lot better since its introduction. I get stoked every day i get to ride my motherships. Anyways just lovin on Line, something not often done on this site.

I like the product, but everything is falling apart. Bacons, Invaders (this years too), Chronics.

My 05-06 prophet 80s are holding up really well and all the lines I have ever ridden (3 pairs) have held up well and I really have not had any durability issues, that's why I'll continue to buy lines.

I just wish that Line would stop constantly innovating long enough to bring the quality of their constuction up a notch.

yeah they're so innovative, that all there money goes to creating new product, and they had to let go there R and D guys...ha i could totally see it!

Ive Always agreed with where line is taking skiing. i feel they are one of the few companies who really are all about fun and expression. when somebody was joking about line changing to "Eric Pollard", i think its awesome that someone with such pure passion, talent, and creativity is allowed so much freedom within the company, and if there was anyone id want to have more influence on the industry, its pollard. line seems to go against the grain. while everyone else focuses on comps (which as of now just forces spin to win and degrades the aesthetic of skiing, but thats a whole nother issue), line is just doing thier own thing, and thats what we need more of.
i havent ridden them in a few years due to the quality issues, but aside from my homemade skis, ill be on lines next season, 100%.

line needs to put rivets in the tips of their skis, like K2 does, than maybe they won't fall a part so easily

since everyone loves line so much... would anyone be interested in buying my anthems from me. they have been skied but only on a couple boxes so the edges are in good shape and the topsheets are fine (no delam here). i need to pay rent this month so unfortunately they have to go. theyre mounted with a set of last years 9-12 ti's. $425 would cover this months rent and utility bill perfectly. ill put a professional wax and tune on them for you before i ship them.

I've been on the last Mike Nick Pro Models (I think 04) for the past 3 seasons. There aare still damn solid, have the same pop, and my edges have not ripped out, a few cracks, no delam or signs of delam. Just perfectly beafy and solid. No complaints here . The only complaint i could ever throw out there is about that gay binding the reactor, but even that idea was amazing, it just needed to be retooled and built better. Bottom line, I love line skis. The fact that they are now owned by K2 is a huge step forward in durability and quality as well, so your basicly dumb if you dont take a gander at the new models for next season...

line makes some of the most durable skis out there. i've heard of a few of their models having problems, but mine have been the best longest lasting skis i've ever been on.
I have broken rossignols, k2s, and heads. My lines are still holding up after two seasons of mad abuse.

that's funny your name is k2publicenemy. I broke three pairs of those and seen a lot more break, yet i still have motherships from three seasons ago that still rip.

I posted this in the I hate Line thread but it should be in here.
Here is my experience with the company...
1st gen. Darkside
2nd year Darkside
1260
3 sets of Motherships all different years
Darkside
Mike Nick Pro 171
fx ti carvers
Skogen Sprangs
Pollard Pros times two- seperate years
First year invaders
Prophet 130's times two- seperate years
Prophet 100's
Prophet 80's
Elizibeths
08 Bacons
07 Anthems
Chronic Blends
There might be more that I have forgotten.
Here is what I broke...
1st gen Darkside topsheet pulled- REPLACED
Invaders tip tail delam- Replaced
Prophet 80's bent tip- Replaced
Thats 21 pairs all skied fairly hard (some way more than others) 3 returns all replaced.
The toughest
Green skogens wouldn't die. Over 200 days of abuse 100 or so rail days and they finally died after 15 water ramp days. Funny enough I never really liked this ski.
All my motherships took a super shit kicking and one pair is still used by the person who bought them.
Prophet 100s are taking a serious beating.
08 Bacons survived several rock hits last week.
Finally cracked an edge on my Anthems after 20 or so hard rail days but still hasn't popped out.
I got 100 days or so including 40 on rails on my Lizzies and they are still holding it together although they are retired.
This is my experience and I know others have not been so lucky. Line takes care of their customers and any real warranty issues seem to be dealt with quite well. (in Canada at least)
Hope everyone is having a good winter!

everyones always complaining about delam, thats the only reason i don't buy lines. almost positive i'll be skiing some next year. i mean, if they delam line does warranty them right? i really dont mind waiting 2 weeks and skiing on other skis as long as i get warrantied

its because you never see anyone post about how good their skis are ... its when they delam or break or have defects everyone starts hatin on the company and has to post a thread about how shit their skis are when there really not...

line has problems with their company, hopefully itll the shipping wont suck this next fall, BUT...line is most innovative company on the market now. they come up with new ideas every year whereas most other companies just change their ski graphics
