how do u do a rail/box that has a down slope on it? do u lean forward alot? or what? cuz i did a box that was like slanted down a little and im not too good at it. or are downs just something u practice and get a hang of? is theres a technique to it? if not tell me then

when you land just make sure your front foot hits before back.. this will force your body to lean forward.

umm lean forward and bend your knees like any rail, but just lean downhill more i guess

just balance on it, try to keep your shoulders paralell to it I guess. if you keep hitting one eventually you'll figure it out.

serious
just be level with the box/rail
and if you come to a kink just make sure you keep your front edge tilted up a lil bit and commit

thats opposite. just make sure your weight is fairly even between your legs, and have a wide stance

look at the end of the rail it helps you to lean forward

commitment is key. try it too slow and it can end badly

What? That is a 1 way ticket to catching an edge and falling on your face. Just land even, which might be impossible because most down rails/boxs are urban style so the back leg always goes on first. Just lean forward and commit.

just treat it like a flat rail, just dont lean uphill and youll be fine.

what helps me for kinks is to look at the end of the rail instead of looking at the kink

seously just hit it like a flat box/rail and you'll be fine. Thats what i do and you'll probably correct yourself anyway. I actually think that down rails/boxes are easier than flat ones.

lean forward, you'll get the hang of it after a while. my first few times on flat-down boxes, on the down i'd manage to just edge my way down, you rarely fall if your going fast enough but after a while you'll begin to flatten out on the down

I think I might. The idea he is saying is that if you just put down your back and your not leaning forward you'll slide out onto your ass right off.

don't lean too far back or you will land on your leg and give yourself a deadleg for three days

approach it from the left side and STEP onto it, font foot first then back foot.

i used to fall back a lot but i found that landing with your feet a little wider than shoulder width and leaning slightly forward make it real hard to fall backwards. It's all in landing on the rail correctly, once you're on teh rail you are set.

focus on having flat skis, pretty wide stance, and balance more on the front foot.

focus on the end of the rail. that'll keep your body leaning down the rail.
