"anti-gay" treatment

I heard on the news that a hormone treatment could be developed to prevent the chance of homosexuality. I noticed that Christians are on both sides of the issue, some believe that God is tempting the person to be gay and that is natural. Others believe that tampering with a fetus is a crime.

On my side, I think its horrible. Homosexuality is ok, a person is allowed to be who they want to be. A person should never be tampered.Im an atheist so my response has nothing to do with religion This "treatment" is medicaly ethicaly wrong because of the possible side effects.

What do you think?

so they'd give it to all kids? i wonder if it would fuck with other hormones and stuff, like make the kid straight but hes retarded or only has half a head

I don't agree with the gay lifestyle from a moral standpoint, but giving someone a 'treatment' before they are born to make sure they aren't is about the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard of, not going to have any effect on someones sexuality whatsoever. And no, I didn't read the article.

I think it should be the parents' choice if they want to use it or not. I mean what baby wants to decide if they wanna be gay or not when they are like 1 month old. lol

It's a perfect cooperative agreement for conservatives and liberals. The liberals can be glad that abortion is legal and conservatives will be happy to know that it's being used to take care of gays. It's perfect, why wouldn't I talk about it?

You must understand that a parent has no legal right to decide on their offspring's physiological and psychological state. That is why it is considerded to be a crime tampering a feotus genome in development or cloning a human.

What is important is that the child feels good about themselves and not the parents. The parent should encourage the child to be diffrent and be pround and not conformity.

Sex is not a texbook thing, theories can emerge but never can be absolutly sure. You claim that homosexuality is a mental problem because you were told that. It is wrong, a "normal" person does not exist, we are all diffrent. In gays, its their sexual orientation, in others, it may be comunication, logic ect... but neither can be corrected or would want to be corrected because society tells us that its 'normal'.
